Appeal for posters of daily books
by Anita (selvatica)
at December 27th, 2010 (10:22 pm)

We were planning to start posting books again in the new year, and were just wondering if there is anyone who would like to help on a regular basis. It could be that we could share the posting out quite widely to give everyone a chance to post, but also have a chance for a decent break as well. You will need to have a paid account to post polls and there is a set formula to follow, but a posting template will be sent to all successful applicants. You will also need to give your self time to check books that have been posted before (through the memories) as we do not want to repeat any books again.

Please leave a comment to this post (screened) if you would like to help. Say what sort of books you would be interested in posting (bearing in mind that all tastes should be catered for). Please also leave your email address and your first name as well. This information is essential if you would like to be considered.

I would also like to start some themed weeks, so if you do not feel you can offer to help with regular posting, but maybe you have ideas for a theme, and a list of books that could fit in with your theme (at least 7 titles) that would be helpful.

Thanks for your ideas and any offers of help.

Lack of participation
by Anita (selvatica)
at October 18th, 2010 (06:10 pm)

We have noticed recently that not many people vote in the polls here anymore. The most we seem to get is about 10 votes. If people have read the books we post, then we seem to get more voters.
We have always said that even if you haven't read the book, you should still vote. If you don't want to think about whether you want to read it or not, then leave that bit blank. But, we would love to see more people joining in, otherwise there is no point in us posting books. We have 735 members who watch these posts but only 10 people vote regularly and that includes the 2 maintainers.

Anyone still out there?
